On February 12, 2009, The U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission put out an immediate recall of 300,000 Hill Sportswear’s hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings. In Fresno, California a 3-year-old boy was killed when his drawstring of the sweatshirt he was wearing became caught on the playground set.

If you have purchased one of theses sweatshirts then remove the drawstring immediately as it poses a severe threat

Included in the recall are the Kid Zipper with Hood as well as the Kid Pullover Hood which has a drawstring that is flat and located at the neck as well as the front middle pocket and inside the fleece lining. The children’s sweatshirt has the drawstring located at the neck as well as two front pockets and inside of the fleece lining.

Parents are urged to remove the dangerous drawstrings from the sweatshirts immediately because they pose a serious threat. You may also return the sweatshirt for a full refund at either the place of purchase or Hill Sportswear.

Contact Hill Sportswear at (877)-322-8760 if you have any questions about the product.
